‡and the world would be delivered to hell…
... in a snow covered hand basket In the center of the barren terra stood a silhouette--basked in moonlight, yet still black as night. From his pallid skin spawned an ethereal glow generated by the milky light which filtered from the heavens, as if attempting to purify his twisted soul. ... It was a shame it was already far too late for any sort of purging...
His spirit had been bled dry of all sympathy and caring, his emotions sardonic and dark in every manner. To the untrained eye, his azure voids would appear to be simply a chaste, crystalline blue harboring a dim shadow of weariness. Upon closer scrutiny, a particular haze of smoldering anger arose revealing a lifeless, old hope which had been traipsed over several times…
The desolate region signified that not a single soul had once crossed into this terra. But Khelek didn’t mind it as such. Solitude beckoned to him, luring him in as a skilled Siren would, its song captivating all those who heard it. Its intensity overwhelmed his mind, crying for him to submit to its will—or be destroyed.
... And he fell willingly into its open arms…

A playful whisper of wind had become a deadly hiss of storm and tsunami. Comforting forest had slowly trickled into a desolate earth, charred with bleak shadows lingering just out of view. Sharp neko senses tingled as she approached the center of the icy terrain. Abnormal frost ensnared the shadowed plain, the kind of cold which grew as a lone seed within...then spread until the stranger could not help but shiver. Bleak snarls vibrating soundlessly...from where could this nightmare have arisen? As another presence bleeded her keen intuitions, the panther neko halted. It was a mistake to come exploring, away from her forest. No life here, no sound, just a screeching void of nothing. Just the murderous hisses sounding near her flattened charcoal ears, the resounding growls ruffling the gentle white fur lining her fawn hued jacket. Deadly silence. Finally, someone else, after silently gliding across the land for this long and watching indications of life completely diminishing. Leaf green eyes switched gradually to glittering emerald irises, the amiable round pupil lengthening into piercing cat eyes. Her voice almost seemed trapped by the dark spell flung and drawn tightly around these surroundings. Instead, her usually dormant neko powers pulsed and cleansed all darkness away from her, the fire destroying the writhing shadows hovering around her. Her will would not bend to whatever was here trying to capture her and lure her away from her smooth path of fate. Attention turned back to the unmoving figure, the moonlight casting a pallow glow on him. Who was he...what was he? Nothing to do but to ask. Her voice flies past all the darkness, pushing it aside effortlessly and reaching him. What is your name? Then the menacing quiet envelops them again. The moonlight is absorbed into her eyes then reflects back out, shimmering and dancing back into the sky. Sacred glow.

‡“Don’t play with fire, you’ll get burned,” so the saying goes…
…And yet ice was never mentioned despite having an equivalent effect… Frost rimmed voids stared unmoving at the shadow veiled earth, as if something horrifyingly fascinating was captivating his attention. Finely tuned ears slowly devoured her words-- the words seemingly so innocent in their meaning, and yet so menacing at the same time. Give someone your name and they owned your soul…
His head bent forward, titanium locks of hair falling forward, pallor rays of the moon waltzing upon its silvery surface. Piercing gusts screamed to life, their voices high and keen, vehemently howling around the intruder, literally attempting to force her away. However, Khelek’s lithe body was still through the turmoil, giving no indication that he had even heard the other’s words over the shrieking wail of the wind.
“It isn’t polite to ask for another’s name without giving your own first.” The words were spoken smoothly as they lingered in the air, weaving and blending in the wind as blood and fire would. Yes, perhaps she would confide her name with him. And perhaps, in turn, Khelek would bestow upon her his own. And perhaps pigs would fly. ‡Your snow filled grave has been dug…Lay in it and close your eyes…
Wait for those pristine snowflakes to conceal your body…‡

Tilting her chin up and narrowing her dark jade eyes, the neko scrutinizes him with a careful glance. As the whirlwinds encircle her wildly, her grip on her spear tightens, but she stays still as her elegant hair ruffles and the jungle ornaments on her weapon thrash about. Her delicate cat ears flatten, but she continues watching him as the winds die down. Absently playing with a feather, one of varying decors hanging from a sinewy string, she silently focuses on him with glittering orbs. Sighing with a bit of indignance, she replies. Must you be so cold? Her charcoal panther tail twists as she looks around for a tree, even though she knows it's rather useless. The jungle cat already missed the gently welcome of a tree's boughs. Giving a wistful sigh of defeat, she remembers his icy reply. Kylara hesitates, conflict in her mind's eye, then shrugs noncholantly. My name's...Kylara. Would you be willing to give me yours? (ooc: Sorry, I should have previewed it first. I had to repost because it would have annoyed me to no end.... Sorry if you liked the black box better. ^^; ) Let trust arise as a red rose blooming from the dark earth.

IC:
The phoenix-teen snickered as he walked up. Cold? I can heat things up for you. A hand moved up as flame gathered around him. Reaching out with a hand, he made the fire dance. The blind fighter's face full of calm as the fire licked his clothing, his black bandanna covering the top part of his face, a smirk graced the uncovered part. Low ponytail swung as he moved towards the other two. He had heard them from deeper in the cave, his Phoenix, his possessor, his curse, his blessing, led him to have superior hearing and senses. The only thing the demon could not heal was his own blindness.

‡tiny flecks of brilliant vermilion blood, a shade too surreal to seem natural, dotted the ground.. ...and the snow was dyed red that day... “Must you be so cold?” The words rang echoingly in his mind as his already still form remained unmoving, seemingly a simple, lifeless shell. A mere second later, bright flames danced and coiled themselves about him, reveling in the prospect of joy in destruction, the stench of charred flesh, the antagonizing screams of pain…
… Wicked little things…
A baritone hum slowly built in pitch, raising quickly to a screech of over a hundred and thirty decibels… more than the average human could withstand, never mind those with superior hearing. The shriek keened and rippled around Khelek, forcing the flames to gently lap against the defense that had automatically mounted. This sound was his barrier against the world, his barrier against harm, his barrier against himself. … Khelek could not be touched…
And for the first time since his arrival, he raised his frostbitten gaze. Twin voids seared the boy, his azure orbs roiling with abhorrence and apathy. “And who’re you?” His hollowed voice itself reverberated through the shadowed terra, piercing through the ominous veil of nightmares. The boy's attempt to 'heat things up' was futile.
...The cold which embittered his soul would never go away… ‡Your snow filled grave has been dug…Lay in it and close your eyes…
Wait for those pristine snowflakes to conceal your body…‡

The blind screamed in agony as the sound wave attacked and battered his ears. He had developed excellent hearing to make up for his blindness, but it was not exactly helping him here. After a while, he stood, shaking his head. The phoenix automatically healed his ears, but they would be ringing for a while yet. Me? Kosha. I am also interested in you, your name is? A sneer was planted on his face as flames rose higher. Then with a wave, the flames calmed and swirled into a tight, but dangerous, ball of flames.

A fiery flicker of emerald appears in her eyes as she twitches at the silent figure in front of her. No answer. Just as she is considering a retort, she freezes as she hears a stormy sound, rising to a pitch beyond that of shattering glass. The neko panther flattens her furry cat ears onto her twirling hair, and her claws slowly but surely forms into deadly claws. Swallowing a threatening and irritated hiss, she straightens and stares at him. She brushes away her instincts and stands quietly waiting for him to stop. Kylara knows better than to touch him, or saying anything. Just wait.... When the sound dies down, she resists the urge to curse him. Her keen ears are spazzing around, trying to shake the leftover resonance away. Yanking at a feather hanging from her spear, she sighs then turns to the newcomer. He was apparently disregarding her also...hmph a conspiracy. Good, he was asking the lone being for his name, maybe he could get it out of him, since she evidently could not. She reaches out to tug the still figure's silver hair. Tell me your name too. The neko regards him a bit. He was far colder than anyone she had ever met. It couldn't be healthy not to smile, could it? She rubs her cheekbone with a hand as she adds to her words. You really should smile more. It makes you live longer. Even that other guy over there does it, though with sneers and smirks instead. She throws a glance toward the other. They three are sure a bunch of different personalities.

‡an eerie hush fell upon the world... ... as a single bloodied snowflake fell from the sky
"Kosha…
The name slowly swirled in his mind, as if testing dangerous waters before plunging in head first. The boy’s mouth curved upwards in a humorless sort of smile, the sort that danced upon an assassin’s face, knowing his victim was trapped, like a fly in a web. Knowing that he was the spider, watching from above. ...Knowing there was no way to escape...
However, in a breath, the smile shattered and was substituted for an apathetic, almost angry expression that marred his alabaster façade. Someone sought to splinter that wall that breached him from the world that he despised so. The world that had once betrayed him. A pallid hand extended, and a silvery force seemed to, liquidly, slide off his arm, gathering in a pool of sound before lurching and exploding in the direction of the girl. Obsidian voids stared implacably at his target; it did not matter whether the victim was female or male, child or adult. There is no such thing as pity.
That day, that one day that twisted his life forever, Khelek had pleaded with every fiber of his being to Him. And yet, He showed no mercy.
He killed her.
People say, turn to God in your time of need. There was one simple problem which had been overlooked during the creation of that phrase.
...There was no God... ‡Your snow filled grave has been dug…Lay in it and close your eyes…
Wait for those pristine snowflakes to conceal your body…‡

A slender hand was outstretched to him.... But she froze and snatched it back, seeing the lone wolf carve a snarl into his features. At the sudden flare of energy, the cat instinctively twists backwards and to the side. Her neko magic sparks and burst out in a sudden emerald flash, diverging the attack sent to her. The icy figure had not tried very hard, she knew immediately. She would not underestimate him. Fur spiking upwards, her cat ears flick and flatten. The neko bites back the urge to hiss, though the dark flame swirling in her cat eyes told all. She. was. furious. But ever more, she was...curious.... Curiousity killed the cat. Not this time. She arches the clawed fingers which were friendly to him just a second ago. His anger had been almost tangible with its fierceness. Something dark knawed at his soul center being. Carefully tasting her words before speaking, she looks at him with a piercing, though softened, gaze. The instinctual animosity dies with a sorrow to replace it. None should live with his pain.
She releases just a single word to hover in the air. Why? Then she stops, searching him for a sign. Anything? Nothing....

Muir spotted the gathering of people over the barren landscape. Ooooo, people!!^_^ She thought to herself as she sped silently toward the spot. However she felt that something was wrong. There was an oppressive feeling of hostility in the air and as she neared, she saw that the...blind guy...was standing and sneering, and sneering is never a good sign. Oh well. Peoples is peoples. she thought as she stopped behind the neko. "BOO!!";D

Instinctually, he turned when someone knew said boo. A ball of fire formed is his hand, aimed towards the newcomer. Then he shook his head and turned back to Khelek. You have not answered me.

In a flash, her claws were at the half elf's jugular. Her narrowed, flashing orbs flicker over the other, then she slowly retracts her threatening hand. She speaks in a low tone. Never do that again to me. Especially not here. Gripping her spear, she turns back to the icy figure with a sigh, then a slow grin. I haven't forgotten about you. The neko calmly watches him, refusing to back down. Her battle spirit still glows around her, but she does nothing to resume a battle stance. It was her turn, but she would not add to the fire. The anger. Nodding to the sneering Kosha, she silently asks the same question. again. All the pain and rage she felt in his attack would not be discussed for the moment...though now she knew it was there.

Muir checked her neck to be sure she was all there. I wonder who all these "wonderful" people are? she thought to herself. She smiled warmly at the people who were just standing there and she noticed the ball of flame in the blind person's hand. "Oooh. I can do that!" she said cheerily, as if she weren't in a bleak, barren landscape that only cockroaches could survive in. "Umm...Who are you? and you?...and you?" She said as she looked first at the blind person, then the neko, and hesitantly at the...other person.

‡the snow fell in sync... with each droplet of blood... Since when did seeking a tendril of silence, of solitude turn into a gathering for the inquisitive? Was it fun to watch him relive the moments that burned a scar in his soul? Did they find it amusing to see black and white blurs of memory flicker back and forth in front of his eyes, like a broken movie? The relentless waves of fury pounded fiercely against the mental barricade he had established for the past years before a trickle of that rage finally slipped through a crack in his blockade. The wind rose again, weaving, screaming, ripping past those who had somehow managed to put a tear in his unbreakable defense. …His defense against his own humanity…
“I hate you all—” His voice was small and pained, as if a child stood in his place instead of the boy that was there. His pale hands flew to his head as frost rimmed orbs turned towards the ground in an effort to prevent anything that would further encourage the brawl in his mind.
“Go away…”
His dilated pupils turned upwards to stare at each of the figures before a blast of sound exploded from his form, spreading to create a dome around him that would thrust the intruders away. His arms dropped from his head, falling limp at his sides as his eyes turned down towards the barren ground again. … You heard what the boy said—Shoo. ‡Your snow filled grave has been dug…Lay in it and close your eyes…
Wait for those pristine snowflakes to conceal your body…‡
